About

Essentially the blog will be about the ups and downs, the highs and lows of being an autistic woman. To share experiences and raise questions about autism.

I am a 20-something woman. I work in a school as a Teaching Assistant. I live in the UK. Really none of this matters. I am autistic, I don’t have a ‘formal or traditional’ diagnosis but I am not self-diagnosed either (please read my diagnosis post to understand more).

I am a firm believer in this quote: “If you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism,” (Dr. Stephen Shore). My blog isn’t written to give all the answers. If along the way it helps some people or provides them with information and insight, then I will feel overwhelming humbled and honoured.

To receive the truest account and my most intimate thoughts I have chosen to remain anonymous. This is not out of shame of my autism, I am a proud autistic. I have chosen anonymity so that the focus is on the blog; the words I write and messages inside. Not who I am.

You can find my posts by clicking the menu button, which shows a list of my posts or scrolling down and searching by category, archive or recent posts.

Thanks for reading. Hope you like them. Peace out!

  1. Hi AutiWomanDifferentBox, I truly think that Autism and Giftedness are closely related, there’s just too much in common to be a coincidence! Looking forward to reading your blog, and hope you check mine out as well!
